Motley Fool Leaked My Address
April 28th, 2007 by greg
Motley Fool is an OK resource for learning about investing as long as you get past their almost endless sales pitches about joining their investment newsletters. They lost a lot of credibility in my book recently. This week I got spam from an address that I gave out ONLY to Motley Fool. This was REAL spam. This is part of body of the spam:

Not only is it a pump and dump scam it’s also obviously trying to get past spam filters. The sender address, almost which is almost certainly forged, is a gmail account.
It is possible that someone stole a database of contact info from Motley Fool. That’s no excuse. Thanks a lot Motley Fool for leaking my address.
